Abstrakt: The induction of microspore embryogenesis of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L) and snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus L) by the high pH of cultivation media was described for the first time. Invertase activity was studied in order to understand the possible mechanism of the influence of high pH on sucrose metabolism in cultured microspores.
